How to Set Up TokenPocket: Multi-Chain Wallet Guide

TokenPocket covers Ethereum, BNB Chain and TRON in one app, and that last one is the reason most people install it. A large share of stablecoin activity moves over TRON because transfers are cheap, and many wallets built for Ethereum do not support it.

Why TRON matters

USDT exists on several networks and they are not interchangeable. USDT on TRON is TRC-20; on Ethereum it is ERC-20. Same name, same value, different chains — and sending TRC-20 to an Ethereum address loses it.

TRON transfers cost a fraction of Ethereum's, which is why exchanges and remittance flows lean on it. A wallet that handles both saves running two.

Energy and bandwidth

TRON does not charge gas the way Ethereum does. Accounts get a daily bandwidth allowance, and transactions consume energy, which you obtain by freezing TRX. Exceed the free allowance and the network burns TRX instead.

In practice: keep a small TRX balance. Transfers usually cost very little, but they are not free, and a TRON account with zero TRX can stall.

Setting up

Download from tokenpocket.pro or the official stores, checking the publisher name.

  • Install and create a wallet, choosing which network to start with
  • Write down the recovery phrase
  • Set a password for the device
  • Add other networks from within the app as needed

TokenPocket can hold separate wallets per network. Keep track of which phrase belongs to which — this is a common source of confusion.

The recovery phrase

Paper, two copies, two locations. Never screenshot it, never type it anywhere except a wallet import screen, and never give it to anyone claiming to be support.

Mistakes that cost people money

Wrong USDT network

The most expensive error with this wallet. TRC-20 and ERC-20 USDT are different assets on different chains. Match the network on both ends of every transfer and send a small test first.

Fake token contracts

Adding a token by contract address is normal on TRON and BNB Chain. Take the address from the project's own site or a block explorer, never from a message.

Approvals in the DApp browser

They persist after you close the tab, as everywhere else. Review and revoke periodically.

Where it fits

TokenPocket rates 7.3/10 in our wallet rankings. If you do not need TRON, Trust Wallet covers more chains with a cleaner interface. For long-term holdings, use hardware.
