Why Bitcoin Holding $78,000 Matters More Than the Last Rally

Price has spent eleven days above $78,000 without a daily close below it. That is the longest stretch since the level was reclaimed, and it changes what a pullback means from here.

What the level is doing

The line at 78k started as resistance in the summer. It has now been tested from above four times and held each time — that is what turns a ceiling into a floor. A level nobody defends does not do that.

Two things to watch:

A daily close under 76,800 would undo the pattern rather than test it.

Where this leaves the setup

Momentum is flat and volume is below its own average, which is a poor argument for chasing. The setup is a pullback into the low 78s with a stop under 76,800, not a breakout entry at the highs.

Funding stays slightly positive across the major venues, so there is no crowded short to squeeze. Anyone waiting for that particular fuel is waiting for something that is not there.
